You should expect about a 10% increase in torque with just the big bore kit, with the cam and carb, along with some flow work in the port of the head, horsepower may also increase 10%, or more. A lot depends on the cam you chose, size of carb, quality of port work. Before you spend the money, decide on what it is you want out of the engine. There are two types of power available, show-off power, and racing power. About 90% of the folks want racing power, when they really need show-off power. Needless to say, racing power is much more expensive, much higher revs are used, and engine life is shorter, but if you need it, you got to have it. Show off power cam be obtained with a big bore kit with compression as high as can be maintained by the head design and fuel available. Slick/match the ports up a bit, be sure carb set-up is spot on, and away you go, for a long time.

I woke up one morning, feeling like death warmed up. It was a struggle to get out of bed. But I had animals to feed, so made a valiant effort. Every few minutes I had to sit down, to gather my strength.

Then I had to phone my patients, another enormous task, to cancel my appointments.

Then I thankfully slumped back to bed.

But then I became thirsty.

And I couldn't go back to sleep.

Eventually I got up and sat in the living room, feeling sorry for myself, possibly dosing.

I couldn't think. It didn't help being a practising homeopath at that time. There was no energy to work out what I needed.

By about lunch time, after getting up to get myself yet another drink of water, I suddenly had a eureka moment.

Normally I love tea - actually I'm a bit of a tea-a-holic. And I love it hot and glug it down. All morning I had been sipping at water, which wasn't entirely due to the fact that I had little energy. I just didn't feel like tea.

Odd.

One of the things I most love about complimentary alternative medicine is that it generally individualises you. Everyone is an individual. One size doesn't fit all. My particular favourite is homeopathy, as this medical modality is all about your unique symptoms.

One symptom, like my total exhaustion, wasn't enough to prescribe a homoeopathic remedy on, as there are many which have this symptom.

You need to have a few good symptoms of a particular remedy, to work out if it will help you. Three good symptoms is normally enough for acute prescribing.

I knew my condition was acute as I had felt the effects of a cold or flu coming on over a few days. Stupidly, I hadn't taken any action.

So I had two good symptoms - total exhaustion and flu.

The third symptom came to me when I realised I wanted to sip water rather than glug tea.

The homeopathic remedy Arsenicum album is an enormous remedy, with a huge scope for healing many ailments with many different symptoms. Three of the main ones are exhaustion, desire to sip drinks and flu.

Once I started on the remedy, I fell asleep (always a good sign) and then gradually picked up in energy. By late in the afternoon I was up and active. By the following day I was completely recovered.

When you look outside the complementary alternative medicine area, can you see any modality which will heal such a condition so fast and so completely? Without side effects?

well my friend unfortunately you will likely need a larger alternator, but considering you have a lifetime warrenty and i suspect would like to try and use it if at all posisble here is what i recomend...

first - do not use the capacitor, it will only add to the load of your alternator, it stores power it does not produce it....

second... do a big three upgrade and re-run 2 gage wire for the amp.

third i would use a multi meter and set the gains on the amp as if it is a 1000 watt amp and not a 1200 watt. you will not hear a difference in volume, but it will reduce some load...

see 1 db is the least that the ear can detect and it takes 2x the power to make 3db difference. sooo.... from 1200-1000 will be less than a 1db difference..

do that and run the amp upto but not over the point of clipping and you sgould be o.k.... if it goes out again, then adjust gains to say a 800 watt.... ect......

or.... you can sometimes get a different pulley that runns th ealternator to a bit higher output... fairly cheap and it may give you 5-10% more output...

You just got done with your workout and you are coming off the buzz that your workout gave you. Your body feels really good, and drenched in your own sweat as if it is a badge of courage for the effort that you gave to improve your body. Now what do you do? Normally people don't really think much about what to do when their workout is over. Most people think that the workout is over when they step off the treadmill, come into the house after running around the block, or drop the dumbbells after their final set. Yet, if you just end your workout you aren't taking full advantage of the time that you put into working out.

While your muscles should feel somewhat refreshed after a hard workout, that feeling won't last long. The feeling is usually replaced with one of soreness and stiffness. Training your body in order to drop weight certainly isn't a single day endeavor. You are going to have to use those same muscles the next day when you resume your workout routine. The best way to help reduce the stiffness and soreness of your muscles is to add a stretching routine onto the end of your workout.

Stretching your body helps it to build long lean muscles. Those are the same muscles that women are really trying to get right now, because they give their body that long, slender sexy look. In addition, stretching after a workout will help your muscles to recover faster. That means less pain the following day when you are trying to use them. There are numerous stretches that will cover the entire body, but you should try to include at least one stretch from the major muscle groups. There are seven major muscle groups that will cover the majority of your body. Your front muscles (chest, abs, etc.), back, upper left side, upper right side, groin, right leg and left leg. Find a stretch that will work these major areas of your body, and be sure to hold each of the stretches twice for at least twenty seconds. You will be pleasantly surprised with the results that you will see on your body.

After workout nutrition is very important. When you are working out using resistance training you are trying to tear the muscle fibers in your body. Your body will then repair those tears, and in doing so create new muscle. To do this task your body requires protein. Protein is the building block that your body uses to create new muscle. Right after a hard workout is a great time to add protein to your diet to increase your results. Whey protein is a great way of supplying your body with an instant boast of protein. Whey protein, unlike soy, is much easier for your body to digest. The faster that your body is able to process the protein, the more efficiently your body will build lean muscle. After workouts your body is also seeking out quick energy to replenish your body; which means that if you are trying to lose weight, this is the time that your body is burning a high volume of calories. Other protein supplements contain fats and carbohydrates that will impede your body from burning fat, but whey protein isolates are 90% pure protein so they don't contain the same high levels of carbohydrates and fats of other protein supplements. Whey protein just helps your body to build lean muscle which helps you to burn more fat and lose weight.

Hydration is also very important. If your body doesn't have enough water it goes into conservation survival mode. That lowers your metabolism and also stops your body from creating muscle. It is important that after a workout to be sure to get a proper amount of liquids.

To get the most out of your workout, you have to be thinking about what you're doing immediately after finishing. Don't waste the time and energy you put into working out by squandering the chances you have to make a big difference through stretching, nutrition and hydration.

The carbon build-up creates something of a non-stick cooking surface. There is no real change in the chemical composition of the cast-iron, just a build-up of burnt oil and/or other carbonized substances. A good chef usually expects the seasoning of a cast iron skillet to happen gradually over time. You can coat it with oil and then bake it to burn the oil off, but that's just the start. Repeated use will make it better. The seasoning can be scrubbed off (and that's a good way to anger a chef) so you know it's not a chemical change in the cast iron.

With so many first time buyers entering the exciting world of home buying at this time, there are many people who are looking at stocking a whole home instead of just their portion of a shared residence. One of the most important areas to stock in your new home is the kitchen; a poorly set up kitchen is a struggle to cook in and you will spend more in take out in a short time than you would have spent in just buying what you need to comfortably cook with.

No matter what kind of cooking you actually do, there are some general basics that are useful for any kitchen; and even if you have some of these items already, it's nice to have new things for your new house, especially if you've been using the castoffs that your family donated to you when you moved out.

One of the nicest things that you can treat yourself to when you buy a new house is a new set of dishes; buy at least a set of four place settings in a style and colour that you like and you think would go nicely with your dining area. If you don't have a decently complete set of cutlery, buy one of these too; no one likes having to share the one teaspoon in the house with everyone else.

For actual kitchen work, get at minimum one frying pan; a good sized cast iron one is a great value and pretty inexpensive. You will also probably need one large pot that you can boil pasta in; a Dutch oven is a good size for pasta and doubles for making stew or soup as well. Add to this combination one medium and one small sauce pan, all with lids.

For food preparation you will need a good paring knife, one larger utility knife, and a serrated bread knife. This variety of knife sizes will let you prepare just about anything. A sharpening steel is a good idea to keep your knives sharp but if you aren't that adept at sharpening knives by hand consider buying "stay sharp" knives. To accompany your new knives, invest in a good sized wooden cutting board; wooden cutting boards prohibit bacterial growth and don't dull your kitchen knives.
