Navigator Lift
Auto-Powered-Everything SUV?
My wife (55) has a solid spine fused and lined in stainless steel rods the entire length (L2 to T2) because of scoliosis. I'm looking for an SUV that has powered EVERYTHING so she doesn't have to lift, push or bend. The Navigator type is perfect with everything she needs but are too big, but the Explorer type are the right size yet don't have a powered lift gate. Third-row seats are not needed, but if powered that's fine. Any suggestions out there? Thank you...

custom auto shops make self-opening auto doors all the time. shouldn't be too difficult to raise the tailgate on an explorer. i had to change the lock in mine it's the same as the car door.
maybe instead of doing the driver and front passenger door, you can get them to do the driver door and the rear tailgate so your wife doesn't have to open either.
